Some of the most commonly spotted birds include the White-vented Myna, Black-winged Stilt, and the colourful Asian Fairy Bluebird. These birds thrive in Thailand’s forests, wetlands, and urban areas, making it easy to spot them from your car window or while hiking in national parks.

In this regularly updated blog post, The Most Common Birds of Thailand, I share with you some of the most commonly encountered feathered friends I spot on my permaculture farm in Trat province. I’ll highlight their unique characteristics and behaviours, and exploring their significance to the local ecosystem.
I’m no twitcher or an expert on birds, so it’s been fun learning more about them to write this post. I do however enjoy them eating, singing and raising their little families on our natural oasis, fruit farm and food forest.
