Thai Glass Noodle Salad

This recipe is for those of you who love a really spicy salad, Thai style! If that’s you, lets get started!!

Ingredients for Yum Woon Sen

Ingredients

  1. Glass noodle
  2. Chilli
  3. 1 TSP Brown sugar
  4. Lime
  5. Shallot
  6. Onion
  7. Tomato
  8. Vietnams sausage
  9. Celery
  10. Spring onions
  11. Minced pork
  12. Black pepper
  13. Himalayan salt
  14. Hot water

How to prepare…

1. Add water in to a small pan and turn up to a high heat. Add minced pork and sprinkle in some salt to taste and stir until the meat is cooked.

Then pour it in to a big bowl.

2. Boil the Vietnamese sausage for about 3 or four minutes. Boil the glass noodles for about 2 or three minutes.

3. Now add all the ingredients in to a mixing bowl, first add little of the hot water + salt + black pepper + brown sugar + chilli and then mix it all together. Next add the minced pork + Vietnamese sausage + onion + tomato + shallot + lime + glass noodle and then mix it again. At this point you should taste it. If you really love it spicy, add  some more chili, but for me just two is enough!

Finally, add the spring onion and celery and give it a quick stir, now it is ready to serve!!

Chicken in Creamy White Wine Sauce

Sawasdii ka! Today we will make chicken in creamy white wine and mushroom sauce, OKay, it’s a long name for a simple dish, but it is easy to cook, Let’s get to it!!!

Cooking Thai Food Ingredients

Ingredients

  1. Free range chicken breast
  2. Onion
  3. Garlic
  4. Mushroom
  5. Morning glory
  6. Cooking cream
  7. Unsalted butter
  8. Himalayan salt
  9. Black pepper
  10. Parsley flakes
  11. White wine

How to prepare…

How to Prepare Thai Food

  1. Chop an onion, garlic and mushrooms, then boil the morning glory.
  2. Heat the butter in a non-stick pan and add the garlic and chicken when you smell the garlic and the chicken looks nice with a glowing golden brown colour.
  3. Add onions and turn the chicken over to cook the other side.
  4. Add mushrooms.
  5. Stir it gently until all the ingredients are combined and the meat is soft.
  6. Add cooking cream, salt and black pepper.
  7. Stir it in and add a little white wine.
  8. Add a little more white wine!
  9. Add parsley and serve.

 

PS, To serve, place morning glory in serving dish and pour the sauce on top of the chicken!!

New Zealand Mussels Recipe

I’m back again!! It’s been about a year since my last recipe blog post (OMG), but I never stop cooking for my husband!! I’ve been posting photos on Instagram but not publishing new blog posts. That’s about to change!

This time around, I will be creating more delicious, healthy recipes and I will be using our own fruits, vegetables and other organic stuff from our food forest and fruit farm.

So today I will tease your tastebuds with my new recipe for New Zealand mussels. It’s actually going to be two recipes with totally different tastes. My husband doesn’t like any kind of seafood, so it’s his loss is my parents gain x2! 555

Garlic Butter

Ingredients

  1. Unsalted butter
  2. Himalayan salt
  3. Black pepper
  4. Parsley
  5. Garlic
  6. Carrot

How to Prepare Garlic Butter

 

  1. Chop the garlic and carrots and add to lightly melted butter
  2. Add a little salt and black pepper
  3. Mix it up
  4. Place a mound of the garlic butter on top of each mussel
  5. Put it in microwave, pan or oven bake them
  6. When they are done, garnish with parsley

Ingredients

  1. Himalayan salt
  2. 1 tsp Brown sugar
  3. Chili
  4. 3-4 Lime
  5. Tomatoes
  6. Shallots
  7. Peppermint
  8. Dill (fresh from our kitchen garden)
  9. Mushrooms

How to Prepare Spicy Salad

  1. Chop the shallots, chili, tomatoes, dill and mushrooms
  2. Place mushrooms in a pan and bring to boil
  3. Add 1 Tbs of hot water in to a bowl
  4. Add 1 Tsp of brown sugar to the bowl and mix it in until the sugar melts
  5. Drop in a little bit of salt
  6. Add lime juice
  7. Add chili, tomatoes, shallot, mushroom and dill
  8. Stream the mussels and squeeze some lime juice on top
  9. When the mussels are cooked, add spicy salad on top and then they are ready to serve

Learn to Cook Tom Yum Fried Rice with Thinglish LifestyleHello Everyone!!
I’m back here again to cook Thai food and today I will cook Tom Yum Fried Rice. My Thai Tom Yum Fried Rice recipe makes a healthy meal and only takes a few minutes to prepare. Fast food doesn’t have to be unhealthy! Sound Good? So let do it…

What You Need to Make Tom Yum Fried Rice

Start with the following ingredients:
1. Meat (In this example I will use pork but you can use chicken or seafood etc.)
2. Thai Lemon or Manaow
3. Tomatos
4. Mushroom or any vegetable you like
5. Coriander
6. Kaffir lime leaf
7. Chili
8. Garlic
9. Soy Sauce

How to prepare Tom Yum Fried Rice


1. Clean the vegetable and meat, then chop them up.

2. Heat a medium sized pan, add chili and garlic at the same time.

3. After the garlic and chili add the meat.

4. Add mushrooms after the meat is cooked through.

5. Then add the other vegetables and stream rice.

6. Add soy sauce and Thai lemon or manaows
(In this example I used 2 manaows)

7. Add coriander and the Kaffir lime leaf.
Stir it up (as Bob Marley used to say) and then turn off the heat. Serve and you are ready to eat.

PS. If you are Thai or just like ‘spicy’ you can add more chili. Also the same is true with Manaow, if you like ‘sour’ just add more.

Ingredients to Make Deep Fried Fish with Thai Herbs
ปลาทับทิมทอดสมุนไพร

  1. Fish = ปลา
  2. Chili = พริก
  3. Lime = มะนาว
  4. Garlic = กระเทียม
  5. Young mango (sour) = มะม่วงอ่อน
  6.  Shallots = หอมหัวแดง
  7. Lemongrass = ตะไคร้
  8. Kaffir lime leave = ใบมะกรูด
  9. Ginger = ขิง
  10. Peppermint = ใบสะระแหน่
  11. Cashew nuts = เม็ดมะม่วงหิมะพานต์ หรือ ถ้าไม่มีใช้เป็นถั่วลิสงธรรมดาก็ได้
  12. Sugar = น้ำตาล แต่ส่วนตัวใช้น้ำตาลปีบ
  13. Fish sauce = น้ำปลา

 

How to Prepare and Cook Deep Fried Fish with Herb Dressing

  1. Firstly clean the fish and cut it up so it’s faster to be cook.
    ก่อนอื่นล้างปลาให้สะอาดแล้วหั่นเป็นชิ้นๆเพื่อทำให้สุกเร็ว

2. Clean all the vegetables and then chop them up.

3. Stir deep fried fish until it looks golden yellow like in the picture below.

4. At the same time, while we are waiting for the deep fried fish to get to their golden color, we can mix the herb dressing. First put a little bit of sugar and add hot water to make it melt, then add all the vegetables and if you love spicy you can add a lot of chili, but for me just 4 chilies!; )
ในระหว่างที่เรารอปลาสุกนั้น เราก็สามารถทำน้ำสลัด ถ้าใครชอบเผ็ดก็ใส่พริกตามชอบได้เลย แต่เราแค่พริก 4 เม็ดก็โอแล้ว แต่ก่อนอื่นเราต้องใส่น้ำตาลก่อนแล้วนำน้ำร้อนเทลงไป เพื่อให้น้ำตาลละลาย แล้วก็สามารถใส่ส่วนที่เหลือได้เลยspicy dressing

5. When the fish is ready pour our herb dressing over the fish and also add cashews, peppermint and kaffir lime leaves on top of the fish as a wonderful and colorful finishing touch.

Serve and enjoy!

ผัดพริกหยวกหมู Stir Fried Pork with Green Peppers - ingredientsส่วนผสม Ingredients

1). หมู (ตามความต้องการ) Pork
2). กระเทียม Garlic
3). หัวหอมใหญ่ Onion
4). แครอท Carrot
5). พริกหยวก Green Peppers
6). น้ำมัน Oil
7). น้ำมันหอย Oyster Sauce
8). ซอสภูเขาทอง Sauce
9). พริกไทย Pepper

ขั้นตอนในการทำ Cooking Instructions

How to Cook Stir Fried Pork with Green Peppers

 

1). ตั้งกระทะให้ร้อน ใส่น้ำมันลงไปเล็กน้อย Heat the pan and add a little oil.
2). ใส่กระเทียมลงไปเจียวให้หอม พอกระเทียมเริ่มเหลืองได้ที่แต่ไม่ต้องมาก Add garlic and stir until it turns yellow.

3). ใส่เนื้อหมูลงไปผัด, ใส่ซอสภูเขา, หอยนางรมและพริกไทย Add pork, oyster sauce, sauce and pepper.

4). พอหมูใกล้สุกก็ใส่ผักลงไปผัดพอสุกก็ตักใส่จานเสริฟ When pork is cooked, add vegetables and stir. Serve and Enjoy; )

BBQ Pork with Rice - Thinglish Lifestyle
ส่วนผสมในการหมักหมูแดง
1). เนื้อหมู
2). ผงพะโล้
3). กระเทียม
4). รากผักชี
5). พริกไทย6). น้ำตาลทราย
7). สีผสมอาหาร แดงอมส้ม

ขั้นตอนในการทำ
1). ล้างเนื้อหมู หั่นตามแนวยาวและใช้ช้อนซ้อมจิ่มๆเข้าไปที่เนื้อหมู  (มากน้อยขึ้นอยู่กับความต้องการ)
2). ทุบรากผักชีและกระเทียม
3). ใส่น้ำตาล, กระเทียม, รากผักชี, พริกไทยและผงพะโล้ลงไปคลุกเคล้าให้เป็นเนื้อเดียวกัน
4). ปิดฝาภาชนะที่เราเราคลุกส่วนผสม จากนั้นนำไปแช่ในตู้เย็นค้างคืนได้จะดีมาก แต่ถ้าไม่อยากรอนานก็หมักให้ได้สัก2ชั่วโมงอย่างต่ำ
5). หลังจากหมักไว้ได้ตามเวลาที่เราต้องการแล้ว จึงนำออกมาจากตู้เย็นทิ้งไว้สักพักเดียวก็นำลงไปนาบในกระทะ, ย่างหรือจะเข้าอบในเตาอบก็ได้ แล้วแต่สะดวก
6). จากนั้นเก็บน้ำที่เหลือจากการอบหมู เพื่อเอาน้ำไว้ใส่ในขั้นตอนการทำน้ำราดข้าวหมูแดง
