How to make Moringa powder at home

It’s simple and an easy 5 steps to make your own Moringa powder at home.

  1. Cutting the Moringa tree down to the size you want and then collect the branches with all the fresh, young green leaves on!!
  2. Washing the branches first with the salt water and the second time to rinse off in normal water.
  3. Drying by hanging them or you can also use a food dehydrator. This time we used the dehydrator because it’s the raining season here and make the leaves dry quick and easy!
  4. Blending add the leaves into the blender or if you got time you can used the mortar and pestle.
  5. Store or drink, eat or sell it!!

Below is a comparison picture of the different between using a mortar and pestle and a blender. Whatever way you use, the taste will remain the same, so use what you’ve got handy in your kitchen.

Now you have moringa powder, next is…

How to Use Moringa Powder

It is so easy to use moringa powder, I would say it’s similar to Tea or Matcha.

You just add 2 or 3 Teaspoon of moringa powder into hot but not boiling water or sprinkle in to smoothies, that’s it!! And drink.

Last week I just made moringa smoothies for my husband and it’s taste so good.

For me, I never drank moringa powder tea because I thought it looked too green and the taste would be green,
kinda like eww, but after I tasted it OMGGGG!!!!! Where did I get that bad idea from about moringa drink, Oh poor me! I’ve been missing out for sooooo long.

So now, I will probably do more recipes about moringa drinks and how to use it in cooking and baking and I will share them with you here dear reader.

This is my first moringa smoothie and here the Recipe for you!!
