Kiwi Jam Recipe

November 22, 2016/1 Comment/in Food & Drink/by Pattarathida Perry

Have you ever tasted kiwi jam? We love to grow our own fruit and vegetables and eat them fresh from the garden. Sometimes however, we have too much produce. A fun way we found to consume more healthy fruits is to make yummy smoothies, desserts and preserves.

Making jams is an easy and fun way to use a lot of fruit. Here’s my simple recipe to make kiwi jam.

I’m using a 2:1 ratio of the dominant fruit to make kiwi jam. To make larger amounts of jam, just keep doubling up on the quantities.

Ingredients to Make Kiwi Jam

  • Kiwi – 2  (กีวี 2 ลูก)
  • Banana  – 1 (กล้วย 1 ลูก)
  • lemon – 1 tablespoon (เนืองจากไม่มีเลมอน เลยใช้มะนาวแทน ถ้ามะนาวก็ประมาณครึ่งลูกนะคะ)
  • Jam Jar (กระปุก หรือภาชนะที่เรามีอยู่)

  3. Stir all the ingredients and bring to boil it until they are sticky. It take about 10 minutes.

  4. Here you go!! The fruits have merged into a glorious sticky consistency! Now allow to cool before spooning into your jam jars.

  5. While the jam is still warm, pour in into your jam jar, invert and allow to cool. Once cooled, you can store your kiwi jam in the fridge.

It’s nice to give your homemade jams to someone as a gift. You can create the packaging by your-self to give your present a more personal and unique touch.

There you have it! Making fruit jams is a relatively easy process anyone can do and if you made it yourself, you know what’s in it, (no nasty additives) that’s another plus point.

So now there is no need to buy that overpriced jam from the supermarket. Have fun making your own fruity combinations like strawberry kiwi jam, blueberry banana jam or mulberry passion fruit jam.

If you enjoyed this post or have a favorite fruit combination you would like to share, let us know in the comments below.

Just like all good jams are great to spread on warm toast. Please share this post on Facebook and spread the love.
