August 18, 2022/0 Comments/in Travel/by Pattarathida Perry

Doi Mae Salong is a small town in Northern Thailand. It is located on the top of the Doi Mae Salong mountain.

This town is famous for its tea plantations and natural scenery. It also houses two Buddhist temples which are worth visiting. The best time to visit this place is during the dry season, so that you can enjoy all the natural beauty and at the same time avoid getting wet in rainy season.

101 Tea Plantation Doi Mae SalongHow to Choose the Best Quality of Doi Mae Salong Tea?

There are two main types of quality control in the production process: the quality control of raw materials and the quality control of finished products.

In terms of the quality control of raw materials, tea leaves should be grown in a clean environment, free from pollution and pesticides. The best variety for producing high-quality tea is “Doi Mae Salong” which is grown at an altitude between 1400 to 1700 meters above sea level.

In terms of the quality control of finished products, there are many ways to identify authentic “Doi Mae Salong” tea. First, it should have a light green color with a fresh aroma.

Second, it should be processed with care to maintain its original flavour and aroma.

Third, it should be made from only the best variety of leaves that are carefully hand-picked in the morning.
